Delicate Doilies Stamp Set

I have a couple more cards to share with you since I had to make a birthday card for my friend's birthday this weekend. I set some designer fabric through the Big Shot to create this card and curled the edges by hand for a more 3D effect.
Recipe: lace punch,delicate doilies stamp set,flirtatious designer fabric,melon mambo card stock, crumb cake cardstock, soft suede cardstock,hemp twine,crumb cake taffeta
Delicate doilies are stamped in soft suede on crumb cake card stock. My own dsp (made with build a blossom) on top of the DSP from Sale-A-Bration. Using the "Lots of Tags" die cut, I sent some wood sheets through the Big Shot and coloured in the edge with the chocolate chip marker. The last touch was the square lattice embossed paper peeking behind the curved cut by the edgelit die.
 Until next time,

Daffodil Delight DSP

Definitely my favourite thing to do... making my own DSP. I probably said that already. I feel so calm making all these patterns! Anyway here is my latest one, which is very simple! It is a random pattern of "Build A Blossom" Stamps on Very Vanilla cardstock, and sponged lightly with Crumb Cake ink. I love it! The best part about making your own DSP is that every card is uniquely different.

 One of the great things about Stampin' Up! stamps is that you're never out of words when you don't know what to say or write to a friend. Try the "Blessings from Heaven" Stamp set for great wording on difficult subject matter. I made a bunch of encouragement cards to give away to friends. The verse says it all! By the way, i'm loving the hemp twine I used to tie on the button below.
 You know what? I really liked how these Scallop Punch flowers and buttons made this card look more modern and contemporary.
 I thought this was kind of cute... using the sponges to daub the Pink Pirouette cardstock for a softer look.
 No reason why you should leave the inside bare! Why not use the DSP or another shade of cardstock inside your cards?
Thats it for now!

Bright and Bold Colours, 3 Ways

After a very looonnnng and tiring week, I was very fortunate to sit down and make some cards tonight. Here are some examples of how we should run towards bright and bold colours and not be afraid of them!
 Here's a card inspired by the Sale-A-Bration colours. Remember, if you purchase $60 or more you'll get free product such as the cute little brad on this card!
Recipe:
* Pool Party DSP
* Melon Mambo Cardstock
* Heard from the Heart Stamp Set
* Real Red Cardstock punched with the Eyelet Punch
* Red Riding Hood Taffeta ribbon
 I created my own DSP using the Fabulous Florets stamp set on Pretty In Pink Cardstock against rich razzleberry cardstock. The big pearl is from the Occasions Mini! I love them because they're so easy to handle.
I wish you could see how saturated and lovely these colours are.
Recipe:
* Melon Mambo cardstock
* Tangerine Tango cardstock, cut with the modern label punch
* Pewter heat embossed "Fabulous Florets" stamp on Real Red cardstock punched with the scalloped circle punch.
* Mini square envelope stamped with the Triple Treat Flower stamp.

P.S. I Love You...

Here's a card I made out of things from the new Occasions Mini. Actually, I changed a card that I made at Genevieve's S.T.I.C meeting (because I have a hard time following recipes :P), but here's mine:
- P.S. I Love You Stamp Set (from the Occasions Mini)
- Twitterpated DSP
- Marina Mist Cardstock, Blushing Bride Cardstock (For the tag) Calypso Coral DSP and Pink DSP
- Large Pearl Basic Jewels (that I won from the meeting, yay!) :D

Making Your Own DSP

Even though I just started, I can confidently say that my favourite thing to do with my Stampin' Up products is to make my own "DSP"...that's "Stamplish" for Designer Series Paper, which is the fancier, printed paper you can get to coordinate with your solid card stock colours. I've made my own DSP here with my "Fabulous Florets" (123025) stamp set, and pool party, melon mambo, and pretty in pink inks. Then I used a sponge dipped in pretty in pink to get the blush colour. To make your own pattern, just stamp each stamp in alternating rows.

 Here's a birthday card using my dsp with some pool party card stock and In Colour DSP.
 I love the way the DSP looks against this Marina Mist card stock and woodgrain background.
 My DSP with the "Wisteria Wonder" card stock and rich razzleberry eyelet trim.
Probably my favourite... the dsp with "Early Espresso" card stock and the stitched poly ribbon in "poppy parade"

My First Swap

I had a great time tonight at my first team meeting and swap! Here's the card I made for the swap... I just received my demonstrator kit today so it was too late to make anything with it but by next month I should be all set to make fancy cards like all the other demonstrators in the group!
Until next time,
