6 months worth of cards...

So I know I'm really not the greatest with posting here since this really is more of a card/crafting diary ... Being incredibly busy I was able to steal away some time this morning and post the backlog. Looking back I loved some of these cards I gave away and it makes me want to make some more hehe.
I stamped these little rice Krispy cheese cookie bags :)
One of many... Many Christmas cards I made this year !!
A card I made for my best friends birthday. It featured a loaf pop up box!
Love this baby boy card I made... I used the markers and a ruler to create the lines. Don't do this enough!
A thank you card

A baby girl card I made for a friend. Love the buttons and that crystal stuff I used to make them 3d.

A wedding card I made for my friends using their theme colours
I love this card... It's earthy for a down to earth girl :)
another wedding card
My sister commissioned me to make this card for a friend who was feeling down. Love the sprinkled donut effect hehehe
These are the cards I made for this years Mother's Day!

My Latest Cards...

It's been a while but I wanted to share some of my latest cards... still have a whole slew to upload but here's what I have so far! In other news, i've closed down my Stampin' Up store as i'm no longer a demonstrator, but you can certainly go to my friend Genevieve's store instead (who is famous in the Stampin' Up world!).
One of my favourite wedding cards of all time that I made for my cousin. I am CRAZY about this herringbone embossing folder.

On that note, here is another wedding card I made for my other cousin's wedding this summer. I made my own DSP by stamping this blossom stamp set on pink paper.
For my 92 year old grandmother's birthday, I created this tri-fold card with red paper, gold embossed with the heat tool. I LOVE the cut out I made with the circle punch, and stuck a faceted button on it. Will definitely use that again.
I think this photo came out kind of blurry but here is a card I made for my lovely sister. I made my own embossing powder by combining the pewter and gold (comes out bronzy), and didnt apply so much so it was more of a grainy look (I think the feeling is more vintage). Then I stamped pink cupcake frosting on, and used the real red sparkly glue stuff to make the hearts, ribbon and cherry :)
This was a baby card I made for a friend. I used the doily stamp set (I forget the name) but I like the effect of stamping and cutting out,and layering that.
Another favourite... i cant even remember who I made this for :P but I think it's the herringbone embossing folder that gets me every time!

I helped my sister make this mini card for her boyfriend. It's an old stamp set from Stampin' up but I think it's soooo cute.

Last but not least, I love this birthday card with the twine.

Here are some other examples of "male friendly" cards that I made recently. I often stick with earth tones and blues.
I thought I'd also show this encouragement card I made for a pastor. I know I can't always put ribbons and paper lace on everything !! I wanted to create layers so to do that I heat embossed a window sheet.

New favorite stamp set!!

I love this new stamp set I got from the new catalogue called stippled blossoms (item 126745). I made some dsp and a wedding card from it. Can't wait to play with some other colors when I have more time :)

Four Mothers Day Cards

I realize this is probably very late for mothers day but I wanted to post up what I made for my records.
Since I had many aunts that I had to make cards for, I always like to make variations of the same card.

Creating Vintage Inspired Vases and Votive holders

A couple weeks ago, for my friend Anastasia's wedding, we created these fun vintage inspired centerpieces and votive holders using twine from the dollar store, the lace punch (which to my dismay, is retiring!) and some grosgrain ribbon.

Michelle's Craft Room

I'm so excited to reveal Michelle's craft room!  Since "playing" in my craft room (which now looks shabby compared to this one I designed for her), she's been thinking of carving out her own space to craft and enjoy creating things. So I made a few trips to Ikea and Dollarama, and voila, I created this room for her.  Again the KEY thing is that all your items are within reach (but have a place of their own to avoid clutter). With that said, Michelle happily reported she was able to make cards quicker since being in her craft room.
I installed Ikea picture ledges on the left side to display her punches, cardstock and papers, so that she could easily remember what she had stock of. The desk was from Ikea (those bottom drawers are the perfect size for Stampin' Up's clear mount stamp cases by the way...:) There is a bucket for paper scraps and a catalogue where she can stamp her images.
Notice also the bulletin boards that I created by stretching Twitterpated Fabric over Ikea bulletin boards and stapling it in the back. Create extra visual interest by hanging them with ribbon.
I got these paper buckets from the dollar store, which keeps her tools and inks at hand. In the background you can see the Designer Series Paper that I framed for her using dollar store white picture frames.
I got this piece of grass from the dollar store (I know, can you believe it?!) and used the mini clothespins (that are now on sale and discountinued) to clip some of her latest card creations.
My favourite piece of the room... this "potted pinwheel flower" bucket I made, using a garbage can, pinwheels and fake grass all found from the dollar store. The bucket currently holds her brads. The caption says "Welcome to Michelle's Craft Room - Where creativity grows". Love it!!!

Thank you cards

I just wanted to post a batch of thank you cards I made recently!

Baby Cards

It's that time of the year again... Spring flowers are popping up and so are the babies. Here are two cards I recently made for two baby girls. Congrats!
